REVIEW: Backyard Adventures

Submitted by Ankeny Mom

Backyard Adventures is an indoor facility with a large variety of playground equipment for kids to play on. They had seven different playground sets -- with swings, baby swings, slides, tire swings, climbing walls, ramps, tunnel slides and playhouses -- when we went.

They also hold birthday parties.

My children, ages 4, 2 and 1/2, and 7 months, enjoyed this place immensely. It costs $5 per child over the age of 2. You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks. They do have water, plates, napkins and some silverware available. They also have a basketball court with hoops at various heights. There's a fussball table and airhockey table to play on for free. There were some small mats for the youngest to play on.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and fun. We were able to play, take a break for lunch, and then go play some more. There are bathrooms with diaper changing tables. A second mom and I were both able to nurse our babies with a bit of privacy.

We had an enjoyable time and plan on going back more times.
