REVIEW: Historical Museum Toddler Time

Submitted by Beaverdale Mom

My 3 year old and 20 month old loved toddler time at the Historical Museum. The teacher read a few stories and was good at involving the kids in the books. Today, they had a farm theme. So after stories, they had farm animal pictures to color and a barn set to play with. They had it in a separate room, and we were invited to stay in the room for as long as we wanted. They also have a small toddler area on the main floor of the museum with colors and other toys.

My kids enjoyed roaming the museum. There were planes hanging form the ceiling, old cars and a huge mammoth on the main floor. They have a neat dinosaur exhibit through May 6th.

Also, through April 27th they have a trolley running from the parking garage on Grand and Penn, the south side of the museum and the capital building. It makes a continuous loop, so the longest you have to wait is 10 minutes. We walked form the garage to the museum, then took the trolley to the capital building and then back to the garage.
