REVIEW: Nordstrom Photo

I just had to write something about Lori Nordstrom at Nordstrom Photo. We visited the studio last week so our daughter could get her photos taken for the Little Angels calendar Lori shoots every year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. What an amazing lady! Not only is Lori super, super nice, but she has a way with the little ones that is just admirable. It's like they speak the same language. Everything she asked our nine month-old to do, she did, and she didn't make a peep! It was cool to watch, and I can only imagine what the pictures will look like. We should see the proofs in a couple weeks.

About the calendar...Lori does this for free, essentially. The Little Angels session costs $100, but it's a direct donation to the Society so Lori is really doing this out of the kindness of her heart. She shoots 30-40 children for the calendar, chooses the best shots and posts them on www.nordstromphoto.com. For $1 a vote (which also goes to the Society), the public can choose which 12 children they think should be featured in the calendar. It's such a neat fund-raising idea and a great cause. The best part is that the pictures are just adorable and something I'm sure all of us, as parents, will hold onto long after they've grown up.
