THIS JUST IN: Historical Museum to open preschool

The State Historical Museum is opening a preschool in August for four-year-olds. The Museum School will focus on arts, history and culture in its curriculum.

The director, Cyndi Pederson, is a former arts educator and most recently was chief of staff to former First Lady Christie Vilsack; and the new deputy director, Mary Jane Olney, is a former elementary school teacher. There will be two classrooms of 12 children each.
