Have you had trouble returning toys in Des Moines?

Saigon Cafe is very kid friendly. The waiters are very nice and helpful. The food is wonderful, with huge servings.... so the kids can eat off of your plate. The cooks do their best to change up the menu items if needed for your kids.
GREAT food.... great staff.
Has anyone been to The Playground for kids in Ankeny? It is awesome! I just took my kids and they don't have kids eat free but all of us ate for under $10 (thats a pizza and three drinks). The kids had a great time on the inflatables and the big tree with all the tunnels and fast slides. They don't have any arcade games (really) only the kids pay $7 for all day..parents are free. We had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone like me who dreads Chucky Cheese. Their wesite is www.theplaygroundforkids.com..check it out, I don't think their website does them justice, the place is huge!
El Rodeo on Douglas is kid and parent friendly. Their ala carte menu is less expensive than the kid menu for little kids, and their margaritas make any difficult dinner bearable!
Z'Mariks is a great place to take kids any day but Saturdays they eat free. My son (6 years old) thought the Kids Alfredo dish was too spicey but he loves the Penne and butter noodles with fresh parmesean cheese that my daugter (18months) was eating.
Red Robin is an awesome place to take children!! My children have had a great time. They make the effort to get what you want. I know it's not the most healthy but they have unlimited fries. Which taste AWESOME by the way.
Kid/Baby UNFRIENDLY: Cosa Cucina was not baby friendly. The waiter was very rude. I did not even need anythng for my son except a high chair. I love Cosa Cucina but it will be years before i go there again due to thier bad kid attitude. My son did not make a peep the entire visit but we were treated like second class citizens for bringing him.

Cheesecake Factory really impressed me with the same ahead-of-time plate for our 22-month-old. It was bananas and bread... he loved it!

Biaggi's is more kid-friendly than I expected. The waitress brought out a kiddie plate with oranges and crackers right away.
